Long story but hear the end of it: I found out that the Salaam Matrix is a djinn (genie, mythical entity) that just keeps on being released from the bottle. And therefore, we now have a spiraling CODEX for the Salaam Matrix, and not just that, but this website is now primarily a CODEX website for The Salaam Matrix, with applications and artifacts (products) coming very soon at the heels of the organization and publication of the first version of an ESSENTIAL and an EXTENDED Codex!
It all happened on its own several weeks ago.
I began thinking about the uses, cautions, restrictions, protocols and deployments of The Salaam Matrix.
There were questions about the tool’s positioning.
Then there were insights emerging about the implications and the inferences of the Matrix.
We thought about safety, about environments, about privacy and more safety, about human and AI users, about disclosure, about the interplay of components,
This tool was turning into something absolutely unexpected… it was turning into a complex model that can applied various ways and serve the complex needs of an active society and its participants. Because one size and use does not fit all, and because the insights from the tool can be tremendous and we need a navigation path, and because this tool answers the questions poses to it, it was clear that we need an operating manual, a handbook, a guide about how to use the Matrix and what all does it pack within.
Enter: The Codex.
A detailed body of work that breaks down the components of The Salaam Matrix, and how to operate them fairly and correctly and specific to the situation and context. It describes the essential Salaam Matrix, and then delved into its readings, components, variables, movements, evaluations, constraints, contrasts, limitations, and so on.
There is also a /SAFETY protocol, and an Operations Manual that will show how to activate them. And, to make the use simpler, we are defining PRESETS for specific use, so the heavy work of tweaking the Salaam Matrix for specific use is done by us, and the user can enjoy the output, and activate the Matrix.
We say that The Salaam Matrix is like a city at a glance.
The Codex tells you how to navigate it.
Our PRESETS (discussed in the next post), define various paths and objectives through the city: If you want food, you go here. For leisure, go here; for shopping go there.
This makes choices and paths within the Matrix easier and more determined for the end user.
