WORLDS node in The Salaam Matrix defines the domains, contexts, objectives and uses of The Salaam Matrix. It defines special deployments, parameters them for safety, efficiency and purpose, and also, develops various predefined uses cases of the tool, for ease and speed of use with guidance, ethics, and clarity. This node also deals with customizations.
/WORLDS is a crucial node of the Salaam Matrix (SMX) Codex that defines the contexts in which the user, of any scale large or small, uses the SMX and its various components. It also pertains to the staging environments for large scale SMX deployments, including AI environments and Big Data systems. In this respect, we emphasize that this node is read in tandem with the /SAFETY node, since with the definition of contexts and environments come the safety concerns. We take a conservative and responsible approach in this regard, eventually opening up as rules are established and honored.
This helps with defining the scope, intent and purpose of the SMX usage, as well as defines safe use, scope, and any referrals that may be needed as an outcome of the discoveries that the users make in the course of using the Salaam Matrix.
The Salaam Matrix is often a diagnostic toolkit; and a “framework of frameworks” that engages and connects with other frameworks, professionals, real-life situations and stakeholders. This is an exercise staged in the middle of real life, and needs to be contextualized both for safety and effectiveness, and for proper gain and utilization.
The purpose of the WORLDS node is not just to scope and define the SMX usage and define its safety concerns — which are deeply valid concerns — but also to focus the mind and intent of the user as well as to create exciting and relevant applications and deployments, as well as generate variations of this tool for various use cases and situations.
The SMX can be a 15-minute self-exploration exercise that you do in class or with your friends during a Self-Exploration session.
The SMX can also be deployed by a city to improve the lives of its citizens in various “Zones” and begin gaining focus on and develop programs for these Life Zones.
The potential of this tool also indicates some risks that can be borne out of the usage, when rules are not defined or a master method to determine and infer new rules is not indicated as a “permitted’ feature of the tool.
As we pondered over these safety concerns, it became clear that safety has to be woven into the modality; as well as the rules of this tool and the potential risks and how to diffuse them or deal with them and use cases need to be detailed. In tandem with this, the development of an ongoing Codex that contains the ever-more defined entities, relationships, variables and features in the Salaam Matrix, is the responsible and correct thing to do.
Without this Codex (introduced in The Beginner’s Guide to the Salaam Matrix), The Salaam Matrix is a flat, naive tool with Four Zones, and no scope and dimension. The activations, the dimensions, the directions of action are not defined.
With greater definition alone comes greater safety. And there is no better definition that we have understood than the WORLDS aspect of the usage/deployment.
For extra caution, and to develop the matter of WORLDS in a more playful and creative manner, we have created a separate safety node that goes into detail into the matter of safety, scoping, cautions, and containment as well as ecology of the model. The WORLDS node will be developed somewhat more independently and then matched with safety concerns to prepare a deployment or use case. Insha’Allah & Aameen.

This ‘WORLD’ addresses the needs and wants of Communities—be that location proximity-based, interest-based, or concern-based. The tools, maps and guides in the COMMUNITY ‘world’ have purpose-built kits you can purchase in order to work on common concerns and aspirations with your group/community, which is defined as a non-commercial organization of people. The COMMUNITY kits focus on collective themes, explorations, tasks and decisions. From building green spaces to deciding how to take turns keeping the neighborhood children safe, this is where you find the tools!
