Today is the day of merging many smaller and scattered pages and giving them their proper place in site navigation. I am merging the pages that deal with the various parts of the Salaam Matrix and have put them under one basic Beginners’ Guide. Excessive links are being removed from drop-down menus on the main site, leaving key pages and categories up in view. The history and future of Salaam Matrix pages have been merged into one Developmental Timeline page. The KNOWLEDGE CENTER tab is my current focus; I want to begin developing a menu and taxonomy on that page so that it can be the one-stop doorway to other sections of the site. As the links jump around and pages are merged, the search engine results and old shared links from around the web will lead to dead ends and 301 and 404 errors, so a redirecting plugin is installed, and hopefully users will find what they are looking for, while I keep streamlining the experience. I want to populate the site with content while keeping navigation as lean and clean as possible. This is always a challenge for me who builds labyrinthine projects with detailed cognitive mapping and internal links. This is done deliberately, I want my body of knowledge to truly touch points on the cognitive and psychic maps of the readers. Which means that various parts of the reader’s minds and personalities become informed by the intergral and comprehensive projects that I develop; the lead project being The Salaam Matrix.
Internet is VERY slow, the devices cannot tolerate the heat this season and are lagging. Devices suffer through the intense seasons here. The pressure of the circumstances is a constant reminder of the kind of world we are all operating in and experiencing — where challenged mount and solutions are needed. It is my fervent effort and prayer that my work and I can make a difference.
