The Salaam Matrix is a foundational code both for the person, the collective, and for the meta codes themselves — which means this is not just to transform people, but to transform systems through clarity or values and observation.
As soon as The Salaam Matrix was first published in 2006, despite its focus being on business alone at the time, it was obvious to readers that they were beholding something lager and momentous. The response was warm, but my own understanding of how to apply the codex was in its earliest phases, and I could already tell that the work would spiral into something larger and spawn application modules and use cases.
I have to pull out of the technical language often and ask myself frequently, “Who am I writing this for?”
Who is my audience?
Who do I want to reach?
Who does this impact and transforms?
Often the visions that arise in my mind are of the world — the whole world, its systems and mindsets. I feel this is a work that is most related to governance and orientation and perception, and yet this is not for the ivory tower or for close chambers especially in these times of worldwide dialog taking place online.
I have therefore understood that my core address are The Common People, and through them, Governors and Governance. The two are interrelated. The Citizen is the key stakeholder of the 21st century. It’s a belief that I have asserted since 2008, in my earliest writings on the matter. This is also in alignment with the Islamic doctrine, which is the source of my inspiration.
