In her work, Ramala Hubb’Allah puts an emphasis on how to learn, before you attempt to learn. The methodologies of learning themselves make up for an art & science. There are some key techniques that Ramala has developed. These are:

Learning the Vocabulary

Learning the etymology and definitions of words allows us to use them as variably as a scarf can be tied.

This is a core learning technique in the Hubb’Allah methodology and knowledge universe. The basic tenet is that learning the vocabulary of a subject matter before accessing its texts and teachings help the learner penetrate the texts faster and deeper when the text is encountered–in other words, know the parts before the Whole. (And because of Pareto Principle aka 80/20 Principle–which suggests that to each rule there is an exception by 20%–being a reality, it is expected that roughly 20% population would prove to be an exception to this suggestion, and they would learn better by seeing the Whole first. To each their best own!)

There are two parts to this, one being more important than the other: the less important part is learning the words, and the more important part is learning etymology and definitions of the word. Once we access the etymology and definitions, we open up to worlds of possibilities, and that is the source of enrichment and the generator of potentials. We are no longer in a fixed world, we are in a world where we know the origins and have a choice amongst nuances and definitions. We can choose grades and accents within the range of meanings and weights–i.e. how strongly we use the word and in what sense. This means that we can now use a single word in many different ways, which is akin to having a dress that you can wear many ways,

Ramala has used this technique with her own homeschooled child to help her learn exceptionally fast, and with joy and ease. Words are introduced in a playful environment with back & forth references to dictionaries, pictorial dictionaries, usage in context, stories, real life, conversations and so forth. This iterative play leads to reinforcement while leading to enrichment of meaning and variation in usage.
